Bees Information Report

Why are bees the most important animal to human kind

Bees are essential to human kind. What they do is really helpful to humans. Without bees we would
have little to eat and no pizza! If you want to know why this is then I suggest you read on. 

Pollination

Pollination is when a bee transfers pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma
which allows fruit, vegetables and nuts to grow such as tomato apples blueberries and much more.
The reason why plants need pollination is so they can reproduce seeds. As you should already know
this is most of what humans eat.

How Bees Make Honey

As you all should know bees make honey by visiting flowers. They collect a sugary juice called
nectar from the flower by sucking it out with their tongues. They store it in their honey stomach
which is different from their food stomach. A process in the bees stomach turns the nectar into honey.
Then it transfers the honey into the hive bees. The hive bees remove the water in the nectar.

Without bees what would happen

Without bees we would lose all the plants that bees pollinate, all of the animals that eat those plants and
all the animals that eat those animals and just like that all the way up the food chain.

How Bees Pollinate Flowers.

Lake Daniell

On 12.6.19 we did the Lake Daniell track. It was a 6 hour return walk.
We went on this walk for the William Pike challenge and because we were learning about hypothermia.

We had to split into groups of three to do a scavenger hunt. In my group was Nevey, Lily and Jack.
We were the only group of 4. When we got to Lake Daniell entrance there was this puddle and
everybody
was joking and saying that we arrived at Lake Daniell.

On the way to the lake I was in the front with a few other people.
When we got to the lake we had our lunch and I just had to be the first to touch the water so that’s
exactly
what I did. When we were eating lunch it started to rain.

On the way back I walked with Nevey for most of the way and then we stopped to wait for the others.
When we got to the end of the track I sprinted because I just had to be the first to get to the finish.
Over all the tramp was fun.

The Umbles

The Umbles are 4 stages to knowing that somebody has hypothermia.

The Umbles

• Stumbles = The stumbles is a loss of control over movement. Slow motion is also a sign of the stumbles.

• Mumbles = Slurred and slow speech, sleepiness and confusion.

• Fumbles = Poor coordination, dropping objects.

• Grumbles = A change in behavior and a negative attitude.

12) What was interesting about New Horizon’s information about Pluto? 2015 NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft arrived at Pluto after travelling for nine years and a total distance of 4.6 billion miles. Data sent to the Earth showed that Pluto is fifty miles larger than was first thought.

1. Who do you think made the biggest contribution to our understanding of space? Isaac Newton and Galileo Galilei Why? Isaac newton Because he outlined his three laws of motion and described the motion of the Sun and planets. And Galileo Galilei invented a telescope that can see some other planets.

    2) What do you think was the most important machine or  invention in helping
us investigate space? Telescopes and probes Why? Because if galileo didn’t invent a telescope and if we didn’t have any probes we wouldn't know much about space.

    3) What would you like to investigate about space? Mars Why? To find out about if it ever had life or if it ever will have life and if we could ever get water back on mars if it did have water on it.
